Christopher Jason Hollan, Maj, USAR

Christopher Jason Hollan received a direct commission into the United States Army Reserve in 2006. He has served over fifteen years in a range of leadership and staff positions within the Active Army and Army Reserve. He began his military career with the Active Army as a non-commissioned officer, from 2001 to 2005 starting with Basic Training, B-3/13 Infantry, Ft. Jackson, SC; Advanced Individual Training, B Co Motor Transport Operators Course, Ft Leonard Wood, MO, and deploying overseas with the 663rd Transportation Company, SPC, 88M for Operation Enduring Freedom and with the 125th Transportation Company, SGT, 88M for Operation Iraqi Freedom. He then continued his military service as an Army Reserve commission officer from 2006 to present with the Transportation, 88M, 125th Trans Co, Lexington, KY; as a Platoon Leader with A Co, 478th EN BN, Fort Thomas, KY; as a Platoon Leader, 979 EN CO, Lexington, KY; as the Executive Officer for the 396 EN CO, Ashland, KY; as the Company Commander for the 396 EN CO, Ashland, KY; as the Operations Officer for the 478th EN BN, Fort Thomas, KY; and in his current position as the Secretary of the General Staff for the 416th TEC, Darien, IL.

Maj Hollan’s military education includes Basic Combat Training (2001), Advanced Individual Training (88M) (2002), Basic Officer Leadership Course (2007), Engineer Explosive Ordinance Clearance Agent (2008), and Engineer Captain’s Career Course (2014).

Major Hollan’s military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal with three oak leaf clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device and Bronze hourglass.

Major Hollan’s civilian education includes a B.A. in Psychology (1999) and Mechanical Engineering (2005) from the University of Kentucky, and a MENG in Mechanical Engineering (2008) He is currently a Engineering Operations Manager with the Delta T Corporation in Lexington, KY

He resides in Lexington, KY.
