Colonel Jaime E. Ramirez is the Senior Policy Advisor for the Air National Guard to the Reserve Forces Policy Board (RFPB), Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington, D.C. The Reserve Forces Policy Board serves as an independent advisor to the Secretary of Defense, providing advice and recommendations to the Secretary on strategies, policies, and practices designed to improve and enhance the capabilities, efficiency and effectiveness of the seven Reserve components. Colonel Ramirez previously served as the 193d Special Operations Maintenance Group Commander, Pennsylvania Air National Guard, Middletown, Pa. He is a graduate of the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, National Defense University, Fort Mc Nair, Washington D.C. Prior to graduating from SDE, he previously served as the Chief, Mobility Aircraft Branch, National Guard Bureau, Joint Base Andrews, Md. He has been assigned to numerous squadron, group, and headquarters positions throughout the Regular Air Force and the Air National Guard. In addition, his assignments include a key position within the White House Military Office, the White House, as Presidential Contingency Operations Training and Evaluation Officer. Colonel Ramirez has deployed in support of numerous contingencies, including Operations NORTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, and ENDURING FREEDOM. In the civilian sector, Colonel Ramirez has held numerous positions in the Operations and Maintenance fields since 2002.
