After retiring from the Air Force, General Handy formed his consulting and advisory service located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The general retired from the Air Force in October 2005, where he served his last four years as Commander, U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and Commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
While serving in the Air Force, General Handy logged over 5,000 hours as a command pilot.
General Handy has a B.A. degree in History from Methodist University and an M.S. degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
General Handy is the President and COO of Fidelio, Inc. (an international ship chartering and leasing company). He is the Vice Chairman of the management committees of American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier, LLC and American Auto Logistics, LP. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of AAL’s General Partner, American Shipping and Logistics Group, Inc.
