Ms. Mason is Chair of Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve in the State of Delaware. She is also the mother and care-giver of an Army Reserve Wounded Warrior. These experiences along with her previous background as a marketing executive have equipped her with proven leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to lead business and communities to stronger support for military members and families.

Work as volunteer to oversee implementation of strategic plan as directed by National Committee for Employer Support of Guard and Reserve in the State of Delaware. Conduct briefings on employment law (USERRA) rights as it pertains to deployment of Guard and Reservists. Manage contractors and continue to recruit volunteers to conduct outreach programs in support of ESGR mission. Served as advisor on national strategic planning committee to help develop new strategic direction for the organization.

NMA/Caregiver-Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC—2010-Present
On orders from U.S. Army to care for Wounded Warrior injured in Afghanistan on April 20, 2010. Advocate, interact, manage, maintain daily contact with Wounded Transition Brigade personnel (medical team, nurse case manager, cadre, health care professionals) to ensure continuum of care for my injured soldier. Make recommendations to cadre on improving efforts of communications to Caregivers and family members. Act as Caregiver and Wounded Warrior advocate to raise awareness to the Department of Defense Office of Wounded Warrior Care and transition Policy, Veterans Affairs and Congressional members on the unmet needs facing families during this transitional time.

Start up and led efforts to inform and educate service and family members on available programs and resources (Red Cross, Tricare, MilitaryOneSource, ESGR). Worked with military leadership to implement training programs at battalion level for family members Conducted outreach programs to ensure family members were informed throughout various phases of deployment cycle. Also researched and compiled information on local and national groups to help support various family needs throughout deployment. Developed database of all family members and continued to communicate by developing newsletters, website and mailings to keep them informed.
