SFC Quinton N. Duncan, USAR

Sergeant First Class Quinton N. Duncan serves as the Operations/Administration NCO to the Chairman, Military Executive, Chief of Staff of the Reserve Policy Board, and Designated Federal Officer for the Reserve Forces Policy Board. He advises the staff on administrative policies and procedures and serves as the liaison to the Board regarding all administrative management functions.

Prior to this assignment, Sergeant First Class Duncan was a Senior Small Group Leader at the Fort Dix NCO Academy for the Basic Leader Course (BLC) as well as the Master Fitness Trainer Course (MFTC) where he was responsible for the management and professional development of 23 BLC/ MFTC instructors and 120 students. He provided guidance on course development and lesson implementation procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. Army, TRADOC and USASMA.

SFC Duncan was born in Chicago, IL, and graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School in June of 1997. He entered active duty in July of 2000, completing Basic Training at Fort Sill, OK and Human Resource Specialist AIT at Fort Jackson, SC.

His active duty assignments include: Human Resource Specialist at the 523rd Military Police Company in Fort Riley, KS, Postal Specialist at the 510th Postal Company in Mannheim, GE. He has one deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from February 2003 to March 2004. SFC Duncan joined the Army Reserves in January of 2006 serving with the 6015th Garrison Support Unit in Forest Park, IL.

SFC Duncan started the AGR program in July of 2008. His assignments include: Human Resources NCO at the 416th TEC in Darien, IL, Senior Human Resources NCO for the 448th Engineer Battalion in Fort Buchanan, PR and Small Group Leader at the Fort McCoy NCO Academy.

SFC Duncan has completed a number of military schools to include: Postal Operations Course, Warrior Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Master Resiliency Course, Master Fitness Trainer Course, Army Basic Instructor Course, Small Group Instructor Trainer Course, Evaluator Instructor Course, Master Fitness Instructor Trainer Course and Master Leader Course, SEJPME 1&2.

His military awards include: Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4OLC), Army Achievement Medal (4OLC), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (4), Overseas Service ribbon, Good Conduct Medal (4), Iraqi Campaign Medal and the Basic Army Instructor Badge.

SFC Duncan holds an Associate’s Degree in Multi-Disciplinary Studies from Grantham University
